For Huwy Williams died April 2010 Lung cancer
Colleen Hutchins died June 2009 Pancreatic cancer
Kelly Parmenter diagnosed January 2006 Myeloma
I wrote this song contemplating death, that which must come to us all. In the face of it, things once so important must seem so insignificant.

Lyrics

TIME IS MY WEAKNESS
Tell me a story give me something to believe in
About five fallen angels sent away
Give me a reason give me something I can hope for
Coz nothing seems precious anymore

In my life I have seen
Things of beauty, things of madness
And if I had one more day
I would give you all my dreams

Time is a-wasting I can feel it slipping through me
Like sand through my fingers blown away
The breeze she is calling leave your heartstrings in my keeping
It’s only a lifetime nothing more

In this world I have seen
Acts of cruelty acts of kindness
And if I had one more night
I would tell you all my fears

For I am ever at your mercy
And I must heed your final call
For no kings and no white horses
Can redeem me make me whole

Life is my teacher, my companion, my accomplice
My guide and my saviour through it all
And we are the answer, the question and the problem
And nothing really matters in the end

And in my life I have been
A hero and a coward
And if I had one more moment
I would make you understand

Time is my weakness
I can feel it slipping through me
